P.E.A.C.E. Unit

(P.E.A.C.E stands for Prayer, Encouragement, Assistance, Confidentiality and Empowerment)

The P.E.A.C.E Unit was developed and implemented in 2003, as a component of the Deaconess Board, to meet the natural and spiritual needs of the women of Reed’s Temple Church. This is being accomplished by providing a confidential setting where discussion of a variety of topics can be held in a group format on a monthly basis. There is a presenter of a chosen topic and then a group discussion is facilitated to generate assistance in the area of answers, encouragement and understanding. There is a component that provides individual sessions for those who need it. This is crisis based and therefore consists of approximately 4 weeks of one-on-one counseling. However, more time is provided if necessary.

As a Deaconess, it is optional for you to participate in this unit. Currently, there are six committee members that consist of both Deaconess and Non-Deaconess women.
