Hospitality Ministry

Hospitality is the gracious provision of food and lodging to strangers. Kindness toward travelers and strangers was encouraged in both the Old and New Testament times.

Background Scripture: Romans 12:13
Distributing to the necessity of the saints;
given to hospitality

Hospitality is a ministry of service

A servant is one who serves others;

any person under the authority of another.

Background Scripture: Psalms 113:1

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise, O ye servants of the Lord,

praise the name of the Lord

The Hospitality Auxiliary is a group comprised of both males and females to show kindness in entertaining strangers, visitors and special guests and is vital to any church.

The hospitality auxiliary should consist of people who are lovers of the Lord and people, given to hospitality, saved, and who enjoy making others happy through the giving of gifts, preparing dinners, entertaining guests at nice eating places, etc.

Beautiful hands are they that do

Deeds that are noble, good and true;

Beautiful feet are they that go

Swiftly to lighten another’s woe.

  • Mc Guffey –

Romans 10:15

. . . as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that

Preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
