Pastor's Corner
Matthew 20:28 says that the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his as a ransom for many.
If you're familiar with the game of tennis, you realize that it's of the utmost importance to have the ability to serve well. If you play volleyball or have ever been employed as a waiter, you also know how vital it is to serve well. I have been a pastor for than 20 years, and I have discovered that the secret to becoming a good leader is to first become a good servant. Irrespective of the accomplishments of positions you may have acquired, remember this...it's not the one whose being served that is great, it is the one who's doing the serving who holds the title of greatness in the eyes of God.
Reed's Temple is here to serve you! God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
